Once they reached the village, they were welcomed by Boubacar Kouroumansé, the expert of Djenné, and the mayor of Djenné. After visiting the mosque, the team went to the Hogon, the supreme leader, to tell the purpose of the visit and to reaffirm the support to the village. The three houses chosen for the restoration were inspected and it was also an occasion to appreciate the traditional architecture of Nando.

The day after, the team went to meet Pierre Guindo, the Director of the Mission Culturelle de Bandiagara. This meeting was intended not only to strengthen the collaboration between the Mission Culturelle and the NGO A.D.I, but also to combine efforts in the restoration activities of cultural buildings.

Since the Mission Culturelle is responsible for managing the site of the Cliff of Bandiagara (List of UNESCO World Heritage), the meeting represented also an opportunity to discuss all the activities of the Initiative Dogon Culture related to the cultural heritage. The meeting ended with signing a document by both parties in order to facilitate the approach to the funding partners. Pierre Guindo said that the lack of finance made the preservation of the cultural heritage not easy, but the Mission Culturelle is willing to supports us for the smooth running of activities. We are happy to see that the MCB welcomes the Initiative Dogon Culture of ADI which gives a boost to the preservation of cultural heritage.
